Heroes Summary    Author: John

Tonights episode didn’t include Jessica, DL, and Micah.

The artist, Isaac, was taken in by Eve (whom we find out has a secret power herself) to a facility to help him rehab and help Mr. Bennett. It seems Mr. Bennett is working for good, to save his daughter. I’m not exactly sure what Eve’s power is, but it seems like she can somehow “persuade” people to do things by whispering in their ears. It seems Mr. Bennett and Eve want Isaac to be able to use his powers without the use of drugs. But Mr. Bennett also needs Isaac’s immediate assistance with finding out who/where Sylar is, in order to prevent the murder of his daughter. A question that stuck in my mind was, how did Mr. Bennett know when Sylar is going to kill his daughter? I’m guessing from what he saw in Issac’s painting… Well, Mr. Bennett asked Issac to help him by drawing the future. Isaac said he was unable to without drugs. Mr. Bennett offered Issac drugs, but Isaac refused, b/c he had been clean for a while, and said he’ll keep trying. Unfortunately, since time was running out, Mr. Bennett coerced Eve to use her powers on Isaac to persuade him to use the drugs in order to paint the future. The painting seemed to have Hiro and his friend. I wasn’t able to make out too much of it though…

Now, to Hiro. This episode focused a lot on Hiro and his new found friend. His friend is a waitress who also has powers that she reveals to Hiro. She could remember everything she read. Hiro and the waitress were having a nice time getting to know each other and speaking in Japanese, while in the background Sylar was shown eyeing Hiro and the waitress. While the waitress went to the back room to open up a can of food and Hiro goes to the mens room, Sylar took the opportunity to murder her the way he does with all his victims. After Hiro finds out what happens, he goes back in time to prevent her from coming in to work, so that she doesn’t get murdered.

The other story in this episode involved Matt Parkman, the police officer with the power of telepathy. It mainly shows him talking to Ted Sprague, the man who emits high levels of radiation. They both find out that they were abducted by the same people and woke up days later with similar symptoms and their powers seemed to be much stronger than before. Ted was taken away by Homeland Security, with fears of him being a possible terror suspect. Ted escapes by using his powers and blowing up the car he was taken in.

Another large part of today’s episode involved Mohinder Suresh and his family, mainly his father. Mohinder kept having recurring dreams of his father leaving to pursue his dreams in America. After speaking to his mother, Mohinder finds out that he had an older sister that died while he was only 2 years old. His mother explains that Chandra Suresh, Mohinder’s father, thought that his sister, Shanti was special. It wasn’t really explained how she died though. But, in Mohinder’s dreams there is a child that frequents it. The child resembles Mohinder himself, but as a child. Could it be his sister? Well the child shows a key to Mohinder in one of his dreams, the same key he kept in his fathers diary. Mohinder uses the key to open a drawer to find a folder containing information with pictures of that same child that was frequenting Mohinder’s dream.

Tonight’s episode answered a lot of our answers about Mr. Bennett. But it also ended up leaving us with a lot of questions. Mainly who is that mysterious child that seemed to haunt Mohinder. Does that child have a connection to Sylar? We’ll have to wait until next week, where they revealed that the “Heroes” will cross paths while trying to save the cheerleader!

Ah you beat me to it! I guess I won’t write a summary/review. I’ll just say that last night’s episode was pretty good. It was very interesting. I’m wondering what those two marks signify? Aliens? a government experiment? or is that Mr. Bennet marking all the superheroes?

I’m not sure what those marks are. But like you said before, it could be that the marks are a sign of how much they have used their powers, such as Jessica. She may have a larger mark than everyone else b/c she has been using her power longer. It could also tie into what they use their powers for. If they use it for bad causes then the mark will grow and start overtaking their body and cause that person to become pure evil?.. Maybe that’s how Sylar looks like?.. I’m not sure. These are just wild guesses. :p
