AneJoh Wedding

Less than 2 months to go! We have a lot of the planning done but still have a few things to take care of. Planning a wedding/reception is so stressful – even for small simple weddings like ours. I’m so excited though and I know John is too.

We met with a few florists last Saturday while we were down in Virginia Beach. I’m surprised at the big difference in price from one florist to another. We had about a $500 difference from one to the other and it was using the same flowers!

We are investigating using silk flowers and/or creating different styles of centerpieces to save money.

If we do go with real flowers, we are going with Bella Flora Flowers. The owner, Claire, was awesome on suggesting different things and stressed that she’d work with our budget (even if it was small). Great business ethics.

Wow. Time flies!!! It is just under 3 months until the wedding and we are not nearly done with planning. Weddings are sooo expensive! Luckily, we found a couple great vendors so far. Our Photographer and Baker are giving us great deals! They’re both awesome. Tom Sanderson from Thomas Sanderson Photography and Jennifer Shockley from Shockley’s Sweet Shoppe – Awesome people to work with and great quality work (from what I’ve seen so far – look for our post-wedding blog later on).

John and I have always wanted an awesome honeymoon and we just put our deposit down. Yay! We got a great deal (but had to book a condo instead of a hotel in order to save $$$) I still think it’ll be great. We will be right on the beach and most of our time will be spent outdoors anyway
